Today, Linn-Mar Robotics was invited to exhibit at the Open Minds and Open Doors girls only conference. About 200 girls were rotating through an auditorium where Linn-Mar Robotics was one of many booths. Dark Matter brought two demo robots for the girls to drive and Iron Lions brought their robot from the 2012-2013 season. As the girls came by, they were able to drive sample FTC robots and learn about the opportunities they have through the FIRST program. Overall, it was a great day, and everyone had a fun time.

It has been a busy couple of weeks for Linn-Mar's two FTC teams. Following the grand unveiling on September 7th, both teams 4150 and 4324 have been hard at work designing and prototyping. Over the past three weeks, the field seen on the auditorium stage has been recreated in our shop according to the FTC game specifications, and both teams have come up with some design ideas after seeing the field up close. Both teams have come to the same decision regarding the flag raising, and have begun designing and prototyping possible flag raisers. As the FTC season continues, we'll be sure to keep you updated on our teams' progress. The first competition both teams will be attending will be held at our very own Linn-Mar High School on November 9th.
