The Iron Lions have been working on new drive system designs over the summer for future robots. Grayson, a senior member on the Iron Lions has made a few 3D rendering of the new edition of the robot as well as the 2014 robot on the official 2014 FRC playing field. The program used for these images is Autodesk Inventor, a 3D modeling program used to help design and build the robots more effectively. Students are able to get this several thousand dollar program for free through the Project Lead The Way classes at Linn-Mar. This program is used by many companies around the world to design parts and entire machines for the real world.
