T-10 Days: Pneumatics and Manipulators

Today was a busy day for many of our members and mentors, some stayed from 8 am to 9 pm. As a result, a huge amount of work got done on both of our robots.

We put the rollers in the robot, hooked up the pneumatics on both robots, finished welding the elevator structure, and put the carriages on the elevator. For controls, we implemented a braking acceleration feature so that large stacks of totes won’t tip as bad, along with a full brake button for when tipping isn’t an issue.

Here is a video of us testing the robot as it is right now. The pneumatics are currently not working as they should, but that shouldn’t take too long to fix tomorrow.
